So about three weeks ago i returned home from an amazing trip to America, including the United States, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and a little bit of the Bahamas. I was lucky enough to stumble upon some really great places and take some photos. Mexico was culturally very interesting for me, as although i had been to Latin American countries before, my experience in Mexico was uniquely different. I particularly loved the colonial architecture that makes up much of the countries states as well as the many historical Mayan sites dotted all over. Everywhere i found beautiful handicrafts, lots of Día de los Muertos (Day of the dead) imagery, vibrant festival decorations and lots of great multicoloured buildings, doors and walls. There is a definite pre and post spanish colonial and North American influence which made Mexico so diverse. So here are only a few of my photos, (out of hundreds) shot with a Canon 1000d and old Pentax camera with 35mm film. I felt very inspired seeking out and capturing these moments.
